FingerWag is built by Raz Labs LLC. FingerWag is designed to filter text messages locally on your iPhone using rules you control.

Information we collect

FingerWag does not require an account and does not collect, upload, sell, or share the contents of your text messages.

On-device filtering

FingerWag stores your filtering rules and filtering statistics on your device using Apple-provided local storage and app group storage so the main app and message filter extension can work together.

Message content

iOS may provide unknown incoming message information to the FingerWag message filter extension so it can classify the message. FingerWag processes that information locally for filtering and does not send message content to Raz Labs LLC or any third-party server.

Analytics and advertising

FingerWag does not use third-party advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, or cross-app tracking.

Website measurement

Separately from the FingerWag app, this website supports Vercel Web Analytics to measure page views and App Store link clicks when enabled. Click events identify the page and button location, not text message contents or information entered into the support form. We remove URL query strings and fragments from analytics event URLs and honor the browser’s Do Not Track setting for this integration.

When configured, App Store links include an Apple campaign identifier for the referring page. Apple reports campaign downloads through App Store Connect. Clicking a link is not proof of an installation, and this website does not receive your Apple ID through these links.

Children’s privacy

FingerWag is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
